dramaturgy

I believe in matrix-making.

My dramaturgy practice synthesizes research, imagination, and play to create worlds grounded in text and community. Take a look at production and practice highlights below.

In the Valley (2025)

Brynjar is a solider; Yan is a man (and, maybe, something more). When the two collide in a temporally shifting valley, they must navigate new desires, war-mongering cults, and a library at the end of the world. My dramaturgy practice for this tender and toothy new play reading focused on structure, clarity, and intimacy. Additionally, I developed various social and digital assets for marketing and fundraising.

Las Wavys (2023)

As part of coursework for a Theatre for Young Audiences class at The Theatre School at DePaul University, I collaborated on a study guide to distribute to educators. Alongside a team, I identified learning objectives, key themes, and community connections to develop articles and activities appropriate for elementary and middle-grade learners.

Dance Nation (2021)

I led a three-person dramaturgy team through a year-long production process focused on creating community in a company physically separated from each other, adapting the play into a filmed immersive piece, and developing materials that celebrated the feral girlhood at the center of the play.
